Services
Music, artists and entertainment
Chenda melam, nadaswaram, bands, DJs and dancers.
Updated Kalyan Co Planning TeamReviewed by Mefas Fransis

We book and manage every performer: Kerala’s chenda melam drummers and nadaswaram players, string quartets and bands, DJs, folk dancers and sangeet choreographers, plus the sound and lighting they need. Fusion line-ups, like a violin and a nadaswaram sharing a tune, are our favourite.
Music is where two families meet fastest. We build line-ups that cover both: a string quartet for the ceremony, chenda drummers for the arrival, a DJ who knows what both sides dance to.
For sangeet nights we bring choreographers who teach guests from abroad a few steps in an afternoon.

Questions couples ask
What is chenda melam?
A Kerala percussion ensemble led by the chenda, a cylindrical drum, with cymbals and wind instruments. It is played at temple festivals and weddings, and it makes a loud, joyful arrival.
Can you mix Western and Indian music?
Yes. Fusion line-ups are common: a string quartet and a nadaswaram, or a band with chenda drummers joining for the finale.
